Description

Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients with kidney-related conditions, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations.
Diagnose kidney diseases using clinical evaluation, laboratory tests, imaging studies, and kidney biopsies.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic kidney diseases.
Manage patients undergoing dialysis (hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and continuous renal replacement therapy), including addressing complications and optimizing treatment regimens.
Provide pre- and post-kidney transplant care, including patient evaluation, immunosuppressive therapy management, and monitoring for transplant-related complications.
Perform interventional procedures such as kidney biopsies, insertion of dialysis catheters, and placement of peritoneal dialysis catheters.
Ensure patient safety and comfort during interventional procedures.
Manage and follow up on procedural outcomes and complications.
Educate patients and their families about kidney diseases, treatment options, dialysis procedures, and transplantation.
Provide guidance on lifestyle modifications, dietary recommendations, and medication management to improve patient outcomes.
Offer emotional support and counseling to patients and their families dealing with chronic kidney disease and its implications.
