Description

Diagnose and treat patients with a wide range of kidney diseases and disorders, including chronic kidney disease (CKD), acute kidney injury (AKI), glomerular diseases, electrolyte imbalances, hypertension, and kidney stones.
Perform comprehensive medical evaluations, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic tests (e.g., laboratory tests, imaging studies, renal biopsies).
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients based on their medical condition, disease severity, and personal preferences, utilizing pharmacological interventions, dialysis modalities, and kidney transplantation as appropriate.
Provide ongoing monitoring and management of patients undergoing dialysis or kidney transplantation, adjusting treatment regimens as needed to optimize outcomes and improve quality of life.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, including primary care physicians, surgeons, nurses, dietitians, social workers, and pharmacists, to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
Participate in medical rounds, case conferences, and multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient cases, review treatment plans, and coordinate care transitions.
Supervise and mentor medical residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals, providing clinical guidance, education, and support as needed.
Engage in scholarly activities, including clinical research, academic teaching, and publication of research findings in peer-reviewed journals, to contribute to the advancement of nephrology knowledge and practice.
