Description
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and examinations of patients with kidney diseases.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic kidney conditions, including but not limited to chronic kidney disease (CKD), glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and electrolyte imbalances.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific condition, incorporating medical, dietary, and lifestyle interventions.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures related to nephrology, such as urinalysis, blood tests, imaging studies, and kidney biopsies.
- Prescribe medications and recommend appropriate therapies, including dialysis or kidney transplantation, when necessary.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including primary care physicians, specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Educate patients and their families about kidney health, disease prevention, and management strategies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and research activities related to nephrology.
