Description

Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients with kidney diseases, including acute kidney injury (AKI), chronic kidney disease (CKD), glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, electrolyte imbalances, and other renal disorders.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, laboratory studies, and imaging studies relevant to nephrology to establish accurate diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide expert medical management and treatment for patients requiring renal replacement therapy, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT).
Monitor and manage patients undergoing kidney transplantation, including pre-transplant evaluation, immunosuppressive therapy management, post-transplant monitoring, and management of transplant-related complications.
Prescribe medications, adjust dosages, and manage medication regimens to optimize renal function, control blood pressure, manage electrolyte imbalances, and prevent disease progression.
Supervise and oversee the provision of hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis services, ensuring safe and effective dialysis treatments for patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD).
Evaluate and manage complications associated with dialysis access, vascular access dysfunction, dialysis-related infections, and dialysis adequacy.
