Job Description

1. Provide expert evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with hematologic disorders, including anemias, clotting disorders, leukemias, lymphomas, and bone marrow failure syndromes.
2. Perform and interpret hematology investigations, including peripheral smears, bone marrow aspiration/biopsy, and flow cytometry.
3. Supervise and mentor junior hematologists, residents, and laboratory staff.
4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including oncology, transfusion medicine, and critical care.
5. Manage hematologic emergencies such as severe anemia, bleeding, thrombosis, and cytopenias.
6. Develop individualized treatment plans using transfusions, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation where applicable.
7. Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines, ethical standards, and patient safety protocols.
8. Maintain accurate clinical documentation, patient counseling, and regulatory compliance.
