About the Role

  1. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Gynecologist to join our healthcare facility in Bangalore on a part-time basis.
  2. Whether you are a practicing consultant looking to expand your reach, a postgraduate student (DGO/DNB/MD) seeking clinical hours, or a doctor with family commitments looking for flexible work, this role offers a balanced professional opportunity.
  3. You will be responsible for outpatient consultations, routine and high-risk pregnancy care, and minor procedures in a well-equipped clinic/hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

  1. OPD Consultations: Conduct outpatient clinics for women across all age groups, addressing conditions related to reproductive health, menstruation, menopause, and fertility.
  2. Obstetric Care: Provide antenatal check-ups, growth monitoring, and postnatal care. Manage low-risk pregnancies and identify high-risk cases for referral.
  3. Procedures: Perform minor procedures such as Pap smears, IUD (Copper-T) insertions/removals, and cervical screening.
  4. Patient Education: Counsel patients on family planning, contraception, HPV vaccination, and lifestyle management (PCOS/PCOD management).
  5. Emergency Assessment: Triage gynecological emergencies and coordinate with the main hospital/Tertiary center for admissions.
  6. Documentation: Maintain meticulous patient records, prescription logs, and MTP (Medical Termination of Pregnancy) records as per MTP Act (if applicable).
  7. Telehealth: Conduct follow-up tele-consultations for stable patients as per clinic protocols.

Qualifications and Requirements

  1. Education: Must possess an MBBS degree with a Postgraduate Degree/Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynecology (DGO / DNB / MD).
  2. Note: For specific well-women clinics or general check-ups, an experienced MBBS with significant hands-on Gynecology experience may be considered, though a PG degree is highly preferred
  3. Registration: Valid registration with the Karnataka Medical Council (KMC) is mandatory.
  4. Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of experience managing a Gynecology OPD independently.
  5. Skills: Excellent bedside manner, empathy towards women’s health issues, and fluency in Kannada/Hindi/English to communicate with a diverse patient base.

Schedule & Compensation

  1. Clinic Days: 2-3 days a week (Weekday evenings or Saturday afternoons).
  2. Session Timings: Typically 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM or 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
  3. Flexibility: Options for weekly or bi-weekly visits.

Compensation Model:

  1. Revenue Share: Competitive percentage of consultation fees and procedure charges.
  2. Fixed Retainer: Minimum guarantee + incentives for procedures/surgeries.
  3. Session Fee: Fixed fee per OPD session .
