Job Description

1. Provide expert evaluation, diagnosis, and management of gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic, and biliary disorders.
2. Perform and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, and liver biopsies.
3. Supervise and mentor junior gastroenterologists, residents, and allied health staff.
4. Coordinate multidisciplinary care with surgery, radiology, hepatology, and critical care teams.
5. Manage acute GI emergencies such as GI bleeding, pancreatitis, and liver failure.
6. Develop evidence-based treatment plans and ensure adherence to clinical guidelines.
7. Maintain accurate clinical documentation, patient counseling, and ethical compliance.
8. Participate in clinical audits, research, teaching, and continuous medical education.
