Description

Diagnose and treat patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders, including but not limited to gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), peptic ulcer disease, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), liver disease, and pancreatic disorders.
Conduct comprehensive medical evaluations, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests such as endoscopy, colonoscopy, and imaging studies, to determine the underlying cause of patients' gastrointestinal symptoms.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients' diagnoses, medical history, and clinical presentation, utilizing a combination of medical therapy, lifestyle modifications, and procedural interventions as appropriate.
Perform endoscopic procedures, including upper gastrointestinal endoscopy, colonoscopy, and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), to evaluate and treat gastrointestinal conditions and perform therapeutic interventions such as polypectomy, mucosal biopsy, and stent placement.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients undergoing gastrointestinal surgery, collaborating with surgical colleagues to optimize patient outcomes and facilitate recovery.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, tumor boards, and case conferences to discuss complex cases, develop treatment plans, and coordinate care for patients with gastrointestinal malignancies and other complex conditions.
Educate patients and their families about their gastrointestinal conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures, empowering them to make informed decisions about their healthcare and lifestyle choices.
