Provide expert assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients presenting to the emergency department with acute medical conditions, trauma, and injuries.
Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including emergency medicine residents, nurses, physician assistants, and support staff, to ensure efficient and coordinated patient care delivery.
Oversee the triage process, prioritize patient evaluation based on clinical urgency, and allocate resources effectively to manage high patient volumes and acuity levels.
Perform and supervise emergency procedures, including airway management, vascular access, trauma resuscitation, and advanced cardiac life support interventions.
Collaborate with specialists from other medical disciplines, such as trauma surgery, cardiology, neurology, and critical care, to provide comprehensive and integrated care for patients with complex medical needs.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, and research projects aimed at enhancing patient outcomes, optimizing resource utilization, and implementing evidence-based practices in emergency medicine.
Mentor and teach emergency medicine residents, medical students, and other healthcare professionals, providing clinical supervision, feedback, and guidance to support their professional development.
