Job Description

1. Evaluate and manage patients requiring cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgical interventions.
2. Perform complex surgical procedures, including CABG, valve repair/replacement, thoracic surgery, and vascular reconstructions.
3. Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including critical care management.
4. Collaborate with cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and ICU teams for optimal patient outcomes.
5. Supervise and mentor junior surgeons, residents, and surgical staff.
6. Develop and implement evidence-based surgical protocols and clinical pathways.
7. Participate in surgical audits, morbidity and mortality reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
8. Counsel patients and families regarding surgical procedures, risks, and prognosis.
