Job Description

1. Diagnose and manage patients requiring cardiothoracic and vascular surgical interventions.
2. Perform open-heart, thoracic, and vascular surgeries including bypass, valve repair/replacement, and aneurysm repair.
3. Manage preoperative and postoperative care in ICU and ward settings.
4. Evaluate and plan surgical treatment in collaboration with cardiologists and multidisciplinary teams.
5. Supervise and mentor junior surgeons, residents, and OT staff.
6. Ensure adherence to surgical protocols, patient safety, and infection control standards.
7. Counsel patients and families regarding surgical procedures, risks, and postoperative care.
8. Maintain accurate surgical records, documentation, and medico-legal compliance.
