Description

  • Conduct comprehensive cardiology evaluations of patients presenting with a variety of cardiac symptoms, including chest pain, dyspnea, palpitations, and syncope.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as electrocardiograms (ECGs), echocardiograms, stress tests, cardiac catheterizations, cardiac MRI scans, and nuclear imaging studies to aid in the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular conditions.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans for patients based on their diagnosis, medical history, and preferences, utilizing evidence-based approaches and incorporating medication management, lifestyle modifications, and interventional procedures as appropriate.
  • Perform and interpret invasive procedures such as cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stenting, and electrophysiology studies for the management of coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, and structural heart disease.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, including cardiac surgeons, electrophysiologists, interventional radiologists, cardiovascular nurses, and rehabilitation specialists, to provide comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for patients with complex cardiovascular conditions.
  • Provide perioperative care for patients undergoing cardiac procedures and surgeries, including preoperative optimization, intraoperative monitoring, and postoperative management, to ensure optimal outcomes and patient recovery.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality and safety of cardiac services and promote evidence-based practice.
  • Engage in academic and scholarly activities, including teaching medical students, residents, and fellows, and participating in clinical research projects and publications to advance the field of cardiology.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, empathy, and compassion in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues, fostering a supportive and collaborative cardiology environment.
