Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacodynamic Analysis: Clinical pharmacologists analyze the pharmacokinetics (how the body absorbs, distributes, metabolizes, and excretes drugs) and pharmacodynamics (drug effects on the body) of investigational compounds. They interpret data to understand how drugs interact with the human body and contribute to dose optimization.
Clinical Data Interpretation: Clinical pharmacologists interpret clinical trial data, drawing conclusions about the safety and efficacy of drugs. They work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including statisticians and medical professionals, to analyze and present findings in a format suitable for regulatory submissions.
Regulatory Compliance: Clinical pharmacologists ensure that clinical trials comply with regulatory requirements and ethical standards. They contribute to the preparation of regulatory documents, such as Investigational New Drug (IND) applications, and collaborate with regulatory affairs professionals to facilitate drug approvals.
