Description
- Assist in preparing patients for imaging procedures, including explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort.
- Obtain and record patient histories and relevant medical information prior to imaging procedures.
- Support or perform routine imaging procedures under the supervision of radiologists, including X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds.
- Ensure proper positioning of patients to obtain optimal imaging results and minimize discomfort.
- Operate and maintain radiology equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
- Assist with the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of imaging equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of imaging procedures, patient information, and preliminary findings.
- Ensure all documentation complies with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective imaging services.
- Communicate clearly with patients and their families about imaging procedures and provide support as needed.
