Description
- Provide comprehensive and compassionate care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
- Perform thorough assessments, develop care plans, and monitor patient progress closely.
- Manage and support patients requiring advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), mechanical ventilation, and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Perform invasive procedures and interventions as needed, including central line placements, arterial lines, and chest tube insertions.
- Monitor and interpret patient vital signs, laboratory results, and diagnostic tests to guide treatment decisions.
- Ensure timely and appropriate responses to changes in patient condition, collaborating with ICU team members.
- Collaborate closely with ICU physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary rounds, care conferences, and patient handovers.
- Provide leadership and guidance to junior clinical staff, including nurses, healthcare assistants, and medical students/residents.
- Foster a supportive and collaborative environment within the ICU team.
