Description
- Assist medical officers and healthcare professionals in patient examinations, treatments, and procedures, following established protocols and guidelines.
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiratory rate, accurately and promptly.
- Assist with patient assessments, including gathering medical history, conducting physical examinations, and documenting patient symptoms and complaints.
- Prepare and administer medications and treatments as directed by medical officers, ensuring compliance with medication administration protocols and safety standards.
- Perform basic clinical procedures, such as wound dressing, specimen collection, catheterization, and assisting with minor surgical procedures.
- Monitor patients' condition and response to treatments, reporting any changes or concerns to medical officers and documenting observations accurately.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families, addressing their concerns and answering questions about their care and treatment.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in patient care areas, ensuring infection control protocols are followed and equipment is properly sterilized and maintained.
- Assist in the maintenance of medical records, including patient histories, progress notes, and treatment plans, in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team, including nurses, laboratory technicians, and support staff, to ensure coordinated patient care and effective communication.
