Description
- Assist and participate in hiring of nursing staff as required for department.
- Assist and Supervise allocated Nursing Staff, coordinate and oversee on daily task assignments.
- Responsible for assisting and maintaining personnel operations including performance appraisals, Rota Management, Shift Allocation, Staffing Management, Trainings.
- Assist, coordinate and organise the required training to improve the competencies of staff.
- Provides leadership and guidance to all staff. Assist to identify learning opportunities, provide effective coaching and feedback, develop corrective action plan as appropriate.
- Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing services, coordinate with Nurse Supervisors, Clinical Educator, Chief of Nursing Services, Doctors, Team Members and other department HoDs to identify opportunities for improving services and patient outcomes.
- Ensure the practice complies with Hospital and NABH standards.
- Assist and evaluate staff competencies by direct observation, peer overview, orientation and employee input. Assist to document the same in appropriate system.
- Promote, monitor regulatory Hospital standards and customer service expectations for the practice in all aspects of Nursing Services.
- Assist and ensure availability and operation of necessary clinical equipment and supplies in all necessary locations. Responsible for ordering all necessary clinical supplies.
- Assist and effectively intercede with family and patients to resolve concerns if any.
- Develop, maintain and evaluate patient/client and staff data collection systems and processes to support the practice of nursing and the delivery of patient care.
- Collaborate with nursing staff at all levels, interdisciplinary teams, executive staff, and other stakeholders in the development, implementation, and evaluation of program services.
- Delegate responsibilities to appropriate people.
- Monitor and evaluate appropriate utilization of staff in collaboration with other stakeholders.
- Recognize the diverse skill levels of individual staff members and the unique needs of the patient population when developing staffing plans; ensures appropriate level of staffing.
- As needed, performs direct patient care, operates equipment safely and correctly, and carries out medical treatments and special procedures.
- Assist to visit and monitor all other allocated departments, Hospital Outreach Clinics as per necessary requirements.
Required Candidate profile (Only Female Candidates to apply)
- Should have completed Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery / Bachelor of Science - Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing / M.Sc Nursing
- Current Nursing License, in good standing with the State Licensing Board [Karnataka Nursing Council].
- Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care according to individual needs.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of clinical risk.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to relate to and influence people at all levels of the organization.
- Must possess excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lead and motivate individual Nursing Department team members.
- Must be flexible and function well under demanding conditions.
- Minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience as Incharge.
- Compassionate personality, soft spoken and always willing to help team members.
- Good listener and with a bilingual ability (Kannada, English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Coorgi / Kodavatak, Malayalam).
- Knowledge of emergency hospital procedures, critical care unit infection control and hygiene policies.
- Hands-on experience in caring for surgical patients.
- Proven ability to multitask and work calmly but efficiently in sensitive environment
