Description

Assisting in Procedures: Support cardiologists and other healthcare professionals during cardiac catheterization procedures, including diagnostic angiograms, stent placements, and balloon angioplasty.
Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain specialized equipment used in the cath lab, such as fluoroscopy machines, hemodynamic monitors, and other imaging devices to ensure optimal performance.
Patient Preparation: Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, obtaining consent, and ensuring they are positioned correctly and comfortable during the procedure.
Monitoring Patient Vital Signs: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during procedures, alerting the medical team to any changes or concerns promptly.
Sterilization and Safety Compliance: Ensure that all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and that safety protocols are followed to minimize infection risks and ensure patient safety.
Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document procedures, patient responses, and any complications that may arise during the catheterization process, ensuring compliance with hospital policies and regulations.
Collaboration with Healthcare Teams: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless operation of the cath lab and effective patient care.
Continuing Education: Stay updated on advancements in cardiovascular technology and techniques, participating in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
