Description

Set up and prepare the cardiac catheterization lab equipment and supplies for diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring functionality, sterility, and safety.
Assist in preparing patients for cardiac catheterization procedures, including obtaining consent, explaining the procedure, and positioning the patient on the examination table.
Monitor patients' vital signs, electrocardiograms (ECGs), and hemodynamic parameters during cath lab procedures, providing assistance and support as needed to ensure patient comfort and safety.
Assist cardiologists and other healthcare providers during cardiac catheterization procedures, including angiograms, angioplasty, stent placement, and electrophysiology studies, by passing instruments, manipulating catheters, and operating imaging equipment.
Adhere to radiation safety protocols and guidelines to minimize radiation exposure to patients, staff, and yourself during fluoroscopy and imaging procedures, using lead aprons, shields, and other protective measures.
Operate fluoroscopy and imaging equipment to acquire high-quality images of the heart and blood vessels, adjusting settings and parameters as needed to optimize image quality and diagnostic accuracy.
