Description

Assist cardiologists and other medical professionals during invasive procedures such as angiograms, angioplasties, and stent placements in the catheterization lab (cath lab).
Prepare and maintain equipment, ensuring that all devices, including imaging machines, catheters, and wires, are sterile and functioning properly.
Monitor and record vital signs, such as heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen levels, during procedures to ensure patient safety.
Operate fluoroscopy machines and other imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
Assist in the setup and maintenance of the cath lab, including managing sterile fields and preparing tools and materials for procedures.
Administer medications as directed by the physician, including contrast agents, sedatives, and anticoagulants, during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
Prepare and process patient records, including pre-procedure assessments and post-procedure recovery data.
Ensure that patient privacy and safety are maintained throughout procedures and recovery.
Monitor patients post-procedure in the recovery area, ensuring proper recovery and documenting any changes in condition.
