- Job Title: Cath Lab Nurse
- Qualification: BSc Nursing

- Work Experience: 2 to 5 Years
Job Description
- Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology procedures.
- Assist cardiologists during angiography, angioplasty, pacemaker and other procedures.
- Monitor patient vital signs, ECG and hemodynamic parameters throughout the procedure.
- Administer prescribed medications and support conscious sedation under supervision.
- Maintain sterile field and ensure adherence to infection control and radiation safety protocols.
- Provide post-procedure nursing care including sheath removal, puncture site monitoring and recovery.
- Identify and manage complications such as bleeding, arrhythmias or contrast reactions.
- Educate patients and families regarding procedure, aftercare and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate nursing documentation and cath lab records.
- Coordinate with doctors, technicians and ward staff for safe patient transfer and continuity of care.
