<ul><li>Assess patients' medical history, current condition, and medications to ensure readiness for the procedure.</li><li>Educate patients and their families about the cardiac catheterization procedure, including risks, benefits, and post-procedure care.</li><li>Start intravenous (IV) lines and administer medications as ordered by the cardiologist, such as sedatives or anticoagulants.</li><li>Assist the cardiologist and/or electrophysiologist during cardiac catheterization procedures, including angiography, angioplasty, and stent placement.</li><li>Monitor patients' vital signs, electrocardiogram (ECG) readings, and hemodynamic parameters throughout the procedure.</li><li>Administer medications and intravenous fluids as needed, under the direction of the cardiologist.</li><li>Operate specialized equipment, such as hemodynamic monitoring systems and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) machines.</li><li>Transfer patients to the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) or cardiac recovery area after the procedure.</li><li>Monitor patients closely for signs of complications, such as bleeding, hematoma formation, or allergic reactions.</li></ul>
