Description

Conduct diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including angiography, angioplasty, stenting, and electrophysiology studies, in accordance with established protocols and standards of practice.
Assess patients' cardiac status, review medical history, and interpret diagnostic test results to formulate appropriate treatment plans and optimize procedural outcomes.
Monitor patients' hemodynamic status, vital signs, and response to medications during cathlab procedures, intervening promptly to address any complications or adverse events.
Operate and oversee the use of catheterization equipment and imaging technologies, including fluoroscopy systems, angiography machines, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), and physiological monitoring devices, to ensure accurate and safe procedure performance.
Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols and proper use of radiation shielding devices to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff during cathlab procedures.
Develop and implement quality assurance programs and protocols to monitor and evaluate cathlab performance, procedural outcomes, and patient safety metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and best practices in cathlab operations, ensuring adherence to guidelines set forth by regulatory agencies and professional organizations.
