Description

  • Conduct diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including angiography, angioplasty, stenting, and electrophysiology studies, in accordance with established protocols and standards of practice.
  • Assess patients' cardiac status, review medical history, and interpret diagnostic test results to formulate appropriate treatment plans and optimize procedural outcomes.
  • Monitor patients' hemodynamic status, vital signs, and response to medications during cathlab procedures, intervening promptly to address any complications or adverse events.
  • Operate and oversee the use of catheterization equipment and imaging technologies, including fluoroscopy systems, angiography machines, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), and physiological monitoring devices, to ensure accurate and safe procedure performance.
  • Ensure adherence to radiation safety protocols and proper use of radiation shielding devices to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff during cathlab procedures.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance programs and protocols to monitor and evaluate cathlab performance, procedural outcomes, and patient safety metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, accreditation requirements, and best practices in cathlab operations, ensuring adherence to guidelines set forth by regulatory agencies and professional organizations.
