Description
- Provide immediate medical assessment and treatment to patients presenting in the casualty department, including those with trauma, medical emergencies, and minor injuries.
- Conduct thorough clinical evaluations, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic investigations, to determine the nature and severity of patients' conditions.
- Initiate appropriate interventions and treatments according to established protocols and guidelines, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
- Perform emergency procedures such as wound care, suturing, splinting, and basic life support measures as needed.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, blood tests, and imaging studies to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Coordinate with other healthcare team members, including nurses, paramedics, and specialists, to optimize patient care and outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care plans.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and clinical progress accurately and comprehensively in medical records.
