Description

  • To liaise between the medical and administration and be responsible for coordinating patient care and safety.
  • To coordinate the Communication between departments and supervise duty doctors in order to provide efficient and effective health care.
  • To evaluate and optimize the care management approach, process of disease management, patient satisfaction, patient safety and develop processes to assure appropriateness of care including length of stay and ancillary resource utilization.
  • To oversee quality assessment and improvement in the health care programs and to provide expertise for hospital quality and clinical effectiveness.
  • To ensure that quality management programs are carried out in all clinical areas through the development and implementation of effective disease management programs, clinical protocols and guidelines, other decision tools, and review of the outcomes.
  • To Improve clinical performance and Oversee conversion to evidence-based medicine.
  • To evaluate duty doctor’s performance and recommend corrective action.
  • To coordinate activities of the Hospital’s Infection Control Program.
  • To assist in designing of educational programs for hospital employees.
  • To ensure that all medical departments are working smoothly, economically and with best efficiently.
  • To be responsible towards the nursing services of the hospital either directly or through Nursing Superintendent/Matron/Sister In-charge.
  • To collect all the daily reports of the hospital and should point out deficiency, if any, and should chalk out a remedy for that.
  • To take a complete round of the hospital every morning in respect of patient care and overall working of the hospital.
  • To supervise medical departments should receive daily written feedbacks from all such departments.
  • To be responsible for any untoward incident which happens in the hospital.
  • To ensure that the department of Emergency is functioning with maximum efficiency.
  • To ensure the patients get the best possible care while they in the hospital either as walk-ins or during their admission.
  • To be responsible for dealing all the medico-legal problems.
  • All of these requirements must be met for Patient Care.
