Description

Perform electrocardiograms (ECGs) to record and analyze the electrical activity of patients' hearts, following standardized protocols and procedures.
Assist with stress tests, including treadmill or pharmacological stress testing, to assess cardiac function and evaluate patients' cardiovascular fitness.
Apply and remove Holter monitors to patients, instructing them on proper wear and care of the device during ambulatory monitoring periods.
Retrieve and download data from Holter monitors, and assist cardiologists in analyzing and interpreting findings to identify arrhythmias or cardiac abnormalities.
Assist with cardiac imaging procedures, such as echocardiograms and cardiac catheterizations, by preparing patients, positioning equipment, and providing technical support to cardiologists and imaging technicians.
Prepare patients for cardiac procedures and tests, explaining procedures, obtaining informed consent, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
Monitor patients' vital signs and responses to procedures, alerting healthcare providers to any adverse reactions or changes in condition.
Maintain and calibrate cardiology equipment and devices to ensure accurate and reliable performance, following manufacturer's instructions and departmental policies.
Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs or service calls as needed to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted workflow.
