Description

Proficiency in performing ECG/EKG tests to measure and record the electrical activity of the heart.
Ability to apply electrodes correctly, obtain accurate tracings, and recognize normal and abnormal ECG/EKG patterns.
Experience in applying and removing Holter monitors for ambulatory ECG monitoring over extended periods.
Knowledge of Holter data analysis and interpretation to identify arrhythmias, ischemic events, and other cardiac abnormalities.
Familiarity with stress testing procedures, including exercise stress tests, pharmacological stress tests (e.g., with dobutamine or adenosine), and nuclear stress tests.
Ability to monitor patients during stress testing, assess symptoms and vital signs, and recognize signs of cardiac ischemia or arrhythmias.
Basic understanding of echocardiography principles and procedures, including transthoracic echocardiography (TTE) and stress echocardiography.
Proficiency in assisting with echocardiographic studies, preparing patients, and positioning them for imaging.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, explain procedures, and alleviate anxiety.
Compassion and empathy in providing patient care, addressing concerns, and ensuring patient comfort and safety during procedures.
