Job Description
- Assist cardiac surgeons during open-heart and other cardiac surgeries.
- Prepare and sterilize all surgical instruments, equipment, and disposables.
- Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols.
- Monitor instruments, sutures, and implants during surgery.
- Coordinate with anesthesiologists, perfusionists, and OR staff for smooth workflow.
- Document surgical procedures, instruments used, and patient details.
- Assist in patient preparation and positioning for cardiac surgery.
- Ensure availability of emergency supplies and backup equipment.
- Supervise and guide junior scrub nurses in the cardiac OT.
- Follow hospital protocols, safety standards, and NABH guidelines.
