Description

Surgical Team Coordination: Lead and coordinate the cardiac surgery team, including surgeons, nurses, anesthetists, and other staff, to ensure proper preparation and execution of procedures.
Operation Theater Management: Oversee the daily operations of the cardiac OT, ensuring that the room, equipment, and surgical instruments are prepared and ready for scheduled procedures.
Equipment and Supply Management: Manage the inventory of surgical instruments, cardiac devices, and consumables, ensuring all necessary tools are sterilized, maintained, and available for surgeries.
Preoperative and Postoperative Care: Ensure that patients are properly prepared for surgery, collaborating with preoperative and recovery teams to ensure smooth transitions before and after procedures.
Quality Control and Compliance: Monitor and enforce strict adherence to infection control, sterility, and safety protocols in the cardiac OT, maintaining compliance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Staff Training and Development: Supervise and train the OT staff on new technologies, procedures, and safety standards, ensuring continuous professional development and high-quality care.
Emergency Response Readiness: Ensure that the cardiac OT is prepared for emergency surgeries and can handle critical cases, coordinating rapid response and optimizing patient care during urgent situations.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of procedures, equipment usage, patient information, and any incidents or complications, reporting to hospital administration and relevant authorities as needed.
