<ul><li>Operates and adjusts high pressure gas, oil, and coal fired boilers in the steam generating plant.</li><li>Maintains maximum boiler efficiency by adjusting, reading, and interpreting gauges, indicators, and steam flow meters.</li><li>Maintains oil heaters, pumps, oil storage facilities, and oil unloading equipment.</li><li>Operates steam plant as situation warrants on natural gas, oil, or coal.</li><li>Observes boiler plant operations through use of electronic or pneumatic controls, pressure gauges, and safety devices.</li><li>Supervises or performs the chemical testing and treatment of boiler feed water.</li><li>Maintains various records and reports relative to steam plant operations.</li></ul>
