Job Description
- Collect blood from voluntary donors and patients, following aseptic and safety procedures.
- Screen and test blood for infectious markers, blood grouping, and compatibility.
- Prepare blood components such as plasma, platelets, and red cell concentrates.
- Store blood and components under appropriate conditions and maintain inventory.
- Issue blood and blood products to clinical departments as per requisition and compatibility testing.
- Maintain accurate records of donors, blood collection, testing, and transfusions.
- Ensure compliance with hospital, national, and international blood banking standards.
- Participate in donor recruitment and awareness programs.
