Description
- Develop and execute strategic plans, goals, and initiatives for the biomedical engineering department in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Provide visionary leadership and direction to the biomedical engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to identify emerging technologies, trends, and opportunities to enhance healthcare delivery.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the biomedical engineering department, including equipment maintenance, repair, and procurement.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
- Monitor equipment performance, reliability, and utilization metrics, and implement strategies to optimize asset management and resource allocation.
- Evaluate, select, and implement medical technology, equipment, and systems to support clinical operations and patient care delivery.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative stakeholders to assess technology needs, prioritize investments, and facilitate technology adoption and integration.
- Ensure interoperability, usability, and safety of medical devices and systems through rigorous testing, validation, and user training.
