Description

Ensure that all the tests/procedures in the laboratory are carried out in the manner as described in the respective SOPs.
Ensure that appropriate controls are employed at defined intervals, and the QC data is checked for correctness.
This should be done every morning and necessary corrective actions advised.
Ensure that results are ready within the committed time frame.
Sign out and release the reports generated from tests done in the lab and in specific situations referred out to other labs.
Ensure that the lab is optimally staffed always and monitor the performance of staff working in the lab including approval of their duty rosters.
Supervise and ensure proper maintenance and management of stocks of reagents and consumables.
Address patient and customer complaints and escalate to a higher level if warranted
Ensure proper maintenance of laboratory records by the staff.
Prepare the laboratory for accreditation for ISO 15189/2022
Any other relevant requirements coming out of mutual agreement.
