Description

Design and develop biomedical devices, equipment, and systems from concept to commercialization, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
Conduct research and feasibility studies to identify clinical needs, assess technical requirements, and propose innovative solutions to address healthcare challenges.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, engineers, scientists, and end-users to define product specifications, requirements, and user needs for biomedical devices and technologies.
Utilize engineering principles and tools to design prototypes, conduct testing, and optimize performance of biomedical devices and systems, considering factors such as safety, efficacy, and usability.
Perform risk assessments, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and other engineering analyses to identify and mitigate potential risks associated with biomedical devices and technologies.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test protocols, validation reports, and regulatory submissions, to support product development and regulatory compliance.
Participate in multidisciplinary project teams to plan, execute, and monitor project activities, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and milestone tracking.
Stay informed about advances in biomedical engineering, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements through literature reviews, professional development, and participation in conferences and seminars.
Provide technical support to manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs teams during product manufacturing, validation, and regulatory submissions.
Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the biomedical engineering team, sharing knowledge and best practices to drive excellence in biomedical device development.
