Position: BAMS Doctor

Reporting To : Medical Superintendent / Hospital Management

Job Summary

• The BAMS Doctor will be responsible for providing patient care through Ayurvedic consultation, diagnosis, treatment planning, patient counseling, and follow-up care. The doctor will work closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure quality patient care and adherence to hospital protocols.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient assessments and consultations.
• Diagnose health conditions based on Ayurvedic principles and clinical evaluation.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe Ayurvedic medications and therapies as per patient requirements.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans when necessary.
• Maintain accurate and updated medical records.
• Provide health education and lifestyle counseling to patients.

Patient Care

• Ensure high standards of patient care and safety.
• Address patient concerns and provide appropriate guidance.
• Maintain professional communication with patients and their attendants.
• Ensure timely follow-up and continuity of care.

Documentation & Compliance

• Complete all patient records, treatment notes, and discharge summaries accurately.
• Adhere to NABH standards, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in audits, quality initiatives, and clinical meetings.

Coordination

• Coordinate with physiotherapists, nurses, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Participate in case discussions and multidisciplinary treatment planning.
• Support hospital health camps, awareness programs, and promotional activities when required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) from a recognized institution.
• Valid State Medical Council Registration.
• Relevant clinical experience preferred.

Skills Required

• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills.
• Excellent communication and patient counseling abilities.
• Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of NABH standards is an added advantage.

Working Hours: As per hospital policy and duty roster.

Salary: As per qualifications, experience, and hospital norms.
