Role Overview
- An Audiologist in a premier hearing aid company is responsible for evaluating hearing disorders, diagnosing hearing loss, and recommending appropriate hearing aid solutions for patients.
- The role involves conducting comprehensive audiological assessments, fitting and programming hearing aids, counseling patients, and ensuring optimal hearing rehabilitation outcomes.
- Audiologists work closely with patients of all age groups to improve their hearing ability and overall quality of life through professional audiological care and advanced hearing aid technology.
Key Responsibilities
1. Audiological Assessment
- Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations including Pure Tone Audiometry, Speech Audiometry, Tympanometry, and other diagnostic tests.
- Interpret audiological test results to diagnose hearing disorders.
2. Hearing Aid Selection & Fitting
- Recommend suitable hearing aids based on patient hearing profile and lifestyle.
- Perform hearing aid fitting, programming, and fine-tuning using specialized software.
3. Patient Counseling
- Educate patients and family members about hearing loss and rehabilitation options.
- Provide guidance on hearing aid usage, care, and maintenance.
4. Aftercare & Follow-up
- Conduct follow-up sessions to monitor patient progress and hearing aid performance.
- Troubleshoot hearing aid issues and make necessary adjustments.
5. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate patient records, audiograms, and treatment plans.
- Update clinical data in patient management systems.
6. Sales & Service Support
- Assist patients in choosing appropriate hearing aid devices.
- Support clinic targets by providing excellent customer service and patient satisfaction.
Qualifications
- BASLP / MASLP from a recognized university.
- Registration with RCI (Rehabilitation Council of India) preferred.
Experience
- 0–3 years experience in audiology or hearing aid fitting.
- Fresh graduates with strong clinical knowledge may also be considered.
