Description

  • Diagnose and manage patients with a wide range of kidney diseases and disorders, including CKD, AKI, glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and hypertension-related kidney disease.
  • Perform comprehensive medical evaluations, including history-taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of laboratory tests, imaging studies, and renal biopsies, to assess kidney function and determine the underlying cause of patients' renal conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with kidney diseases, incorporating medical therapy, dietary and lifestyle modifications, and dialysis or renal replacement therapy as needed.
  • Manage patients with ESRD requiring renal replacement therapy, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and kidney transplantation, coordinating pre-transplant evaluations, post-transplant care, and immunosuppressive therapy management.
  • Perform and interpret specialized procedures and tests related to nephrology, including kidney biopsies, renal ultrasonography, and vascular access procedures for hemodialysis.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including primary care physicians, surgeons, urologists, and transplant specialists, to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients with complex kidney conditions.
  • Educate patients and their families about kidney disease, treatment options, and preventive measures, empowering them to participate in their healthcare and make informed decisions about their treatment plans.
