Description

Diagnose and manage patients with a wide range of kidney diseases and disorders, including CKD, AKI, glomerulonephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and hypertension-related kidney disease.
Perform comprehensive medical evaluations, including history-taking, physical examinations, and interpretation of laboratory tests, imaging studies, and renal biopsies, to assess kidney function and determine the underlying cause of patients' renal conditions.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with kidney diseases, incorporating medical therapy, dietary and lifestyle modifications, and dialysis or renal replacement therapy as needed.
Manage patients with ESRD requiring renal replacement therapy, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and kidney transplantation, coordinating pre-transplant evaluations, post-transplant care, and immunosuppressive therapy management.
Perform and interpret specialized procedures and tests related to nephrology, including kidney biopsies, renal ultrasonography, and vascular access procedures for hemodialysis.
Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including primary care physicians, surgeons, urologists, and transplant specialists, to provide comprehensive and coordinated care to patients with complex kidney conditions.
Educate patients and their families about kidney disease, treatment options, and preventive measures, empowering them to participate in their healthcare and make informed decisions about their treatment plans.
