Description

Assess and evaluate cancer patients to determine eligibility for radiation therapy.
Develop and implement individualized radiation treatment plans based on patient-specific factors and disease characteristics.
Monitor and manage patients during the course of radiation therapy, including addressing treatment-related side effects and complications.
Utilize advanced radiation therapy techniques (e.g., IMRT, IGRT, SBRT) to optimize treatment outcomes.
Collaborate with medical physicists and dosimetrists in treatment planning and quality assurance.
Work closely with medical oncologists, surgeons, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and treatment planning meetings.
Educate and supervise medical students, residents, and junior medical staff.
Provide clinical instruction and guidance on radiation oncology principles and practices.
Participate in academic and research activities within the department.
