Description
- Perform and interpret advanced diagnostic procedures including flexible bronchoscopy, rigid bronchoscopy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), navigational bronchoscopy, and transbronchial biopsy.
- Conduct therapeutic interventions such as endobronchial stent placement, balloon dilation, bronchial thermoplasty, and endobronchial valve placement.
- Manage and treat patients with complex respiratory conditions including lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, COPD, pulmonary infections, and pleural diseases.
- Utilize advanced imaging techniques and interpret imaging studies relevant to pulmonary diseases and interventions.
- Lead and coordinate the interventional pulmonology team including pulmonologists, respiratory therapists, nurses, and support staff.
- Foster a collaborative and cohesive team environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
- Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to junior medical staff, residents, and fellows.
- Participate in clinical research studies, contribute to research publications, and present findings at national and international conferences.
- Educate medical students, residents, and healthcare professionals on interventional pulmonology techniques, advancements, and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in interventional pulmonology through continuous medical education (CME) activities.
