Job Description

1. Assist in diagnosing and managing patients with general surgical conditions, both elective and emergency.
2. Support consultants during operative procedures, including preoperative planning and intraoperative assistance.
3. Manage preoperative and postoperative care, including ward rounds and ICU management.
4. Perform and interpret relevant investigations such as imaging and laboratory tests under supervision.
5. Provide inpatient, outpatient, and emergency surgical services as assigned.
6. Counsel patients and families on surgical procedures, risks, recovery, and follow-up care.
7. Coordinate care with anesthesia, nursing, critical care, and allied health teams.
8. Ensure accurate clinical documentation and adherence to surgical protocols and safety standards.
