Description
Clinical Care:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with cardiovascular disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the cardiology team.
- Monitor and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
Patient Management:
- Oversee the care and treatment of cardiology patients admitted to the hospital.
- Attend to inpatient and outpatient consultations and follow-ups.
- Work closely with nursing staff to ensure optimal patient care.
Diagnostic Procedures:
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures, including echocardiograms, stress tests, and cardiac catheterizations.
- Collaborate with imaging and laboratory departments for accurate diagnostic evaluations.
Emergency Response:
- Respond to cardiac emergencies and provide immediate care.
- Participate in code blue and rapid response teams as needed.
- Coordinate with emergency services for transfers and interventions.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including cardiothoracic surgeons, interventional cardiologists, and nurses.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing information about diagnoses, treatment plans, and outcomes.
- Attend departmental meetings and case conferences.
