Description
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients presenting with respiratory symptoms, such as cough, dyspnea, wheezing, and chest pain, to establish accurate diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Perform comprehensive physical examinations, review medical histories, and interpret diagnostic tests, including pulmonary function tests, imaging studies, and laboratory tests, to diagnose pulmonary conditions such as asthma, COPD, interstitial lung disease, and lung cancer.
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with pulmonary conditions, including prescribing medications, inhalers, oxygen therapy, and pulmonary rehabilitation to manage symptoms, improve lung function, and prevent disease progression.
- Provide patient education and counseling on smoking cessation, medication adherence, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures to optimize respiratory health and reduce the risk of exacerbations and complications.
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic bronchoscopy procedures, such as bronchoalveolar lavage, transbronchial biopsy, endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS), and bronchial stent placement, to evaluate and manage pulmonary disorders, including lung nodules, tumors, and infections.
- Interpret bronchoscopy findings, biopsy results, and imaging studies to guide diagnosis, treatment planning, and monitoring of patients with pulmonary diseases.
