Description

  • Evaluate patients' medical histories, laboratory results, and diagnostic tests to assess their suitability for anesthesia and identify any preexisting medical conditions or risk factors that may impact anesthesia management. Perform preoperative consultations to discuss anesthesia options, address patient concerns, and obtain informed consent.
  • Administer various types of anesthesia, including general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and sedation, based on the patient's medical status, surgical requirements, and anesthetic goals. Monitor patient responses to anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence, adjusting anesthetic agents and techniques as necessary to ensure optimal patient comfort and safety.
  • Monitor patient vital signs, including heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, and temperature, throughout the surgical procedure. Utilize advanced monitoring technologies, such as electrocardiography (ECG), pulse oximetry, capnography, and invasive hemodynamic monitoring, to assess physiological status and detect anesthesia-related complications promptly.
  • Perform airway management techniques, including endotracheal intubation, laryngeal mask airway (LMA) insertion, and fiberoptic bronchoscopy, to establish and maintain a patent airway during anesthesia administration. Manage difficult airway scenarios and provide rescue interventions, such as bag-mask ventilation and cricothyroidotomy, in emergency situations.
  • Administer analgesic medications and regional anesthesia techniques, such as nerve blocks and epidural anesthesia, to manage perioperative pain and facilitate postoperative recovery. Tailor pain management strategies to individual patient needs, surgical procedures, and analgesic preferences, optimizing pain control while minimizing opioid-related side effects and complications.
