• Equipment Maintenance: They are responsible for the maintenance, calibration, and sterilization of anesthesia equipment, such as ventilators, monitors, and gas delivery systems.
• Patient Preparation: Anesthesia technologists help with patient preparation by positioning them, attaching monitoring devices, and ensuring IV lines are properly secured.
• Medication Management: They may assist in the preparation and administration of medications used for anesthesia, under the supervision of an anesthesiologist.
• Monitoring:  Continuous monitoring of vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen levels during surgery to ensure the patient's safety.
• Emergency Response: Anesthesia technologists should be trained to respond to emergencies, like cardiac arrest, and assist in life-saving procedures.
