Description

Collect, process, and analyze semen samples using standard laboratory techniques and procedures.
Perform macroscopic and microscopic examinations of semen samples to assess sperm count, motility, morphology, and other parameters.
Prepare and stain slides for microscopic evaluation, and interpret findings to provide accurate diagnostic information.
Perform sperm preparation techniques such as density gradient centrifugation, swim-up, and sperm washing for assisted reproductive procedures.
Prepare sperm samples for intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF), and other fertility treatments according to established protocols.
Assist with the cryopreservation of sperm samples for future use, including labeling, storage, and documentation of cryopreserved samples.
Maintain quality control measures and quality assurance protocols to ensure accuracy, reliability, and consistency of test results.
Monitor equipment performance, calibration, and maintenance, and troubleshoot technical issues as needed.
Participate in proficiency testing programs and adhere to regulatory requirements and accreditation standards (e.g., CLIA, CAP).
