Description
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Record financial transactions accurately in the general ledger and maintain supporting documentation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, working closely with department heads to develop accurate projections.
- Monitor budget variances and provide recommendations for cost optimization.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations by preparing and filing tax returns, including sales tax and income tax filings.
- Assist in tax planning strategies and respond to tax inquiries and audits.
- Perform financial analysis, including variance analysis, ratio analysis, and trend analysis, to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and reconciliations as needed.
