Description

Install and set up air conditioning systems, including central air units, split systems, ductless mini-splits, and window units, according to manufacturer specifications and building codes.
Assemble and connect components, such as compressors, evaporators, condensers, refrigerant lines, and electrical wiring, ensuring proper alignment, sealing, and insulation.
Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC problems, such as cooling inefficiency, refrigerant leaks, compressor failures, and electrical malfunctions, using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Repair or replace defective components, including compressors, motors, capacitors, relays, thermostats, and fans, to restore proper operation and efficiency.
Perform routine maintenance tasks on air conditioning systems, including cleaning coils, filters, and ducts; lubricating moving parts; and checking refrigerant levels and pressures.
Inspect and test HVAC equipment for signs of wear, corrosion, or damage, and recommend preventive repairs or replacements to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
Handle refrigerants safely and responsibly, following EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) regulations and best practices for refrigerant recovery, recycling, and charging.
Charge air conditioning systems with appropriate refrigerants, ensuring correct pressures and temperatures for optimal cooling performance and energy efficiency.
